What’s your principal defect?
I've been told its procrastination but I do think that weaknesses and strengths are the flip sides of the same coin and both are of value as long as you accept them equally.
What’s your favourite foreign word? Why?
Samapatti is from Sanskrit and literally translates to - falling together auspiciously - I translate this as 'being in the flow'
Who’s your favourite fictional hero? Why?
Psyche of the Greek allegory, her curiosity got her into trouble, but through her determination she overcome impossible obstacles including a trip to the underworld, despite a near fateful fling with vanity she was none the less saved by the compassion of the gods (which is not something the Greek gods were well known for) and lived happily ever after as far as we know.
What do you have at your bedside table?
A rock salt lamp on one side and a 'Dark Angel' ceramic figurine by Noelle Jakeman on the other.
Have you ever cried at the hairdresser? Year? Cut?
Yes in the early nineties, I let my friend Arthur of Salon Love 'be creative' and I ended up with a mini mullet - the first time in my life I have ever consistently worn a cap
Describe your creative side?
Whatever side I wake up on.
How do you overcome a creative block?
Well its like making a rich cake, you can put all the ingredients together but it takes time to cook, there's no use in watching and worrying, best to go and do something relaxing while you wait.
Do you have a muse?
My cat - a most exquisite expression of uninhibited 'catness'.
