How would your mum describe you?

Forgetful

What’s your favourite foreign word? Why?

Ciao because hello and goodbye really are the same thing.

Your principal defect?

Spelling, and staying in touch. This whole emailing/facebook/myspace thing has really made me look bad. I mean how hard is it to tap off a few lines to your friends every now and then? Thn agn, dat vowl drpn n txtn vrnclr mks te splng thng hps ezr eh.

Who’s your favourite fictional hero? Why?

Toru Okada or the Count of Monte Cristo. They may have taken the long road but in the end each they found their cat.

What do you have on your bedside table?

No table, but on the floor there is an excellent painting, ‘The Prince’ by my friend Simon Findlay, and a box of tissues because my girlfriend is sick.

Describe your creative side?

Risky and expensive like a high roller on a winning streak.

What ever I don’t know and want to learn about.

How do you overcome a creative block?

I thought creative blocks were for building stuff?

When do you feel most inspired?

Right at the start… although I’m getting better at the middle bit too. I use to be a real ideas person but I think I’m beginning to get a feel for process, being a little less certain about my direction and deriving inspiration from the act of making.

If you were a cooked meal what would you be?
