Come and explore over 50 works of contemporary sculpture from top and emerging New Zealand sculptors in the beautiful Civic Gardens.
Guaranteed to delight visitors of any age, you're welcome to pack a picnic and bring the family. You can also join one of the expert guided tours at 2pm every Sunday, or enjoy the magical night illumination every Thursday until 10pm.
Well-known sculptors exhibiting in 2012 include Tanya Ashken, John Edgar, David McCracken, Campbell Maud and Greg Bloomfield.
All works are for sale, with proceeds going to charity. Watch out for the Daily Display: an exciting opportunity to grab an art bargain as shapeshifter artists offer other works for sale, with changes daily. Be quick because this art sale is first in, first served!
Banks Shoes shapeshifter is a fundraising initiative of the Rotary Club of Hutt City, staged in partnership with The Dowse Art Museum and the Hutt City Council. It benefits Te Omanga Hospice, the Gillies McIndoe Research Institute, The Dowse Foundation and youth programmes in the Hutt Valley.
