Spectrum

20 August – 13 November 2011 | FREE

An exhibition for children and their families that explores the colours of the rainbow and the essence of light with dynamic, colourful works from The Dowse collection. Children can get in the spin of the show with interactive colour spectrums, a light box that lets you make new colours and dazzling prisms to shine a light on.

Spectrum encourages us to take a deeper look at how artists use colour, and to discover that there is more to colour then meets the eye. Look out for fun, interactive activities that will accompany this exhbition. The exhibition includes works by  New Zealand artists John Parker, Milan Mrkusich, Doreen Blumhardt, Richard Parker, Dick Frizzell, Gretchen Albrecht, Gerda Leenards, John Coley and Gary Nash, among others.
