Architecture and Ideology at Adam Art Gallery

Tue 19 Dec 6:00 p.m.

Adam Art Gallery, Victoria University

In association with the exhibition 'What Remains, The Karori Commission' by Anna Sanderson, Gavin Hipkins and Philip Kelly, New York-based artist Amy Howden-Chapman will present the performative lecture The Last of the Glass: Ideology traced in architecture. While 'What Remains' looks at 1960s and 70s socially oriented building, Howden-Chapman's The Last of the Glass is a live lyric documentary, an ode to the dematerialized buildings of our present as they become extinguished by a future built from the carbon neutral and negative materials of timber and Hex-char.

**note: This event will be held at The Adam Art Gallery and is supported by The Dowse Art Museum
